Fire it UP!!!

We get fired up about so many different things, especially when it is a negative situation. The Word of God declares that our prayers should be fired up! James 5:16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” The word fervent refers to a working that produces heat. Of course I know that we are not going to get all fired up over saying grace before we eat our breakfast. It amazes me how so very often, when people share with me the problems they are facing, they are so fired up about them. When I ask what they prayed concerning the situation, their response is usually less aggressive than when they spoke of the problems!!! Let’s get fired up in prayer!!! Why give the testimony of the enemy’s work more fire than you give in prayer unto the God of your salvation?!?!?!?!?
